Day 7 of our Carnival Glory Experience

Wednesday, January 31

We are having breakfast like a King and sitting next to another amazing couple.  He is retired Air Force with 32 years of service mostly overseas.  She is semi-retired as a realtor.  They met in England when they were both married to other people.  He was stationed there for a year and she was a lawyer and a high-ranking government official.  A year later they met again and this time they were both divorced and the rest is history.  They now live in Del Ray.  I love the way this man looks at his wife as he totally and deeply in love with her.  We have a wonderful chat about politics.  They voted for Trump and now regret it, but they didn't realize how bizarre he would be, and how deeply he is not making America great.  I forgive them for voting Trump and indicate that the problem is the Trump is just drunk on his own power and no one could have predicted this.  The Retired Air Force Commander thinks that is a brilliant observation and writes it down and can't wait to get ashore to show his friends how a Canadian woman knocked it out of the park.  Yeah, I'm brilliant !

We mention that we think we are going to pass on going ashore to Belize, but my new friend tells me that I can not.  Belize has the poorest copyright laws in the world, she says, and you can get amazing deals on knock-off purses that look authentic.  I will admit that I started breathing quicker and we set off for Belize City.

We have to tender in to Belize.  This boat ride is about 20 minutes from our ship.

And, I wasn't disappointed.  Shops and shops and shops of designer bags and luggage.  I feel like buying a hundred but I am already ready worried that we won't have enough room to pack what we have already bought.  (Plus, who knows how many trophies and medals we still might win.)  I decide on one bag and manage to lower the unbelievably low price by another $5.00.  It is another "start the ship" moment.

There are atleast 5 cruise ships out in the ocean tendering their passengers in to shore.  It is truly an intoxicating site.

Afternoon trivia hosted by my Leo.  I wish I could be humble, but I took it down !!!!  Now, I won my own piece of ship.

We went back to our room.  Garry, of course, was so happy for me but not at all surprised because he just knew that I was smart.  I love that man.

We have to spend some time in our room admiring both of our trophies.  It ends up that we spend a few hours admiring our trophies.

We only leave our room to attend Sports Trivia.  It is just me and 15 other guys in the sports bar guzzling our beer.  But, they remember me from the previous evening.  It is the first time ever that I have been the only girl where I had not felt any gender discrimination.  It is pretty cool.  I'm just one of the guys playing sports trivia.  I know it is silly but I feel deliriously confident about the future and I definitely feel that #TimesUp.  My sweetie ties for first place.  There is a cheer off for the winner.  I cheer for all three equally and the other patrons only cheer for their friends. So, I feel I lost the trophy for my sweetie, but he is not upset.  That is just the atmosphere here.  No worries.

Dinner is another masterpiece.  I can't believe the quality of our culinary experience.  We sit with a couple from a small town in Ohio.  The town basically has only own employer and they make Goldfish - the crackers.  I love Goldfish crackers !

We go to the general lobby where we dance to 70s music and they spend some time on the panaroma deck watching the ocean.

Just another night in Paradise.
