People are Lining Up to Work in the White House

President Trump was asked to comment on the exit of his Communications Adviser Hope Hicks and how his Administration had a lot of vacancies and how would they be filled.

Fortunately, for Trump a lot of the vacancies were made up positions so they don't really need to be filled.

So, now that the Administration is without Hope, how will they cope.  Hope Hicks actually had the most seniority with Trump.   Yes, a 29 year old with very little experience was the most senior Trump advisor.  Her experience seemed to be that she was a teenage model and a friend of Ivanka Trump.  Also, if her job was Communications Adviser to Trump, she was not effective.

Trump responded to questions about numerous vacancies was to say that his was the greatest Presidency of all time and people were lining up to work at the White House.

Yes, this was Trumps actual response and not Alec Baldwin playing Trump on SNL.

Moments after he made these comments, his top economic adviser, Gary Cohn, resigned.  This resignation is actually significant because Cohn was the actual real deal.  He is well educated and he has had significant success on Wall Street and is very well respected in the economic circles.  He was also a strong proponent of NAFTA so his departure is very worrisome to Canadians.  Also, he was trying to convince Trump to back off on tariffs on aluminum and steel.  Another worrisome issue for Canadians.

There is no way to spin this positively.  This resignation is a serious blow to the Trump Administration.

However, Trump is right.  People are lining up to work in the White House, but it is not because he has the greatest Presidency ever.  It is because it is the dream of many young men and women to work in the White House.  They dream that they want to help people.

However, at this point, we can probably deduce some incite into the people who are lining up to work.  They are probably 20 something with little education and experience other than modelling or being a friend of a Trump.  The Administration may have lost Hope but there are likely more Hopes out there who will fill positions they are not qualified for.

It seems like the whole country may be losing Hope.
