Respect Your Server!
Feeling quite frustrated today with humankind.
When your in the public dealing with some customers that attempt to intimidate management and staff, when do you draw a line in how you get treated ?
When do you speak out about what is morally wrong, and intolerable ?

Visit after visit after visit, there is always an issue with some customers.
Yet they keep returning.
We often wonder and ask each other why do they keep coming back? Is it so they can share a negative post and hope to hurt our business or our reputation ?
Is it simply because they thrive on negativity,, or just want to get a reaction to see how we handle it, and have something to gossip about.
I’m really not sure of the answer.
What I do know is that when they come in our doors, all our staff is prepared for the worst and honestly at times dreading where they will sit, as that will dictate who is the lucky server that gets to serve them. Then they bend over backwards to make sure there can be nothing to complain about.
Yet, there seems to always be an issue,,,,

I know that a lot of servers and wait staff get treated poorly at times.
In my years of serving I myself even slapped a customer in the face once, for being highly inappropriate, after having asked him many times to not speak to me that way. That was an extreme circumstance and it was my gut reaction.
I can tell you this much,,,,
it worked,
the sexual connotations stopped as did the “friendly” unwanted touches. Honestly how sad is that,, that it had to get to that point, I just wanted to know what he wanted for breakfast,,,
Over the years we have had to coach servers to go back out onto the floor and put a smile on their face and “get over” the last miserable person they had to deal with. How about we be proactive and not deal with the “miserables”!!
Some of these situations have been mind blowing,, we have had to deal with customers that have gotten physical with our staff, we have had customers distort the truth many times, we have had many customers swear and yell at our wait staff, we have had to diffuse many hot tempers and been put into very uncomfortable situations, including sexual harassment.
This happens on a regular weekly basis. ENOUGH!!
We are choosing to stand up for our staff, stand up for ourselves, and stand up for respect.
What is happening to humankind,, where is the old adage of treat other as you would like to be treated.
Where is basic respect nowadays?
Why do some people think they have the right to treat those that deal with the public poorly and rudely?
We are all here doing our job to the best of our ability day after day, week after week.
All of our staff work hard everyday of the week.
Yes, absolutely we make mistakes at times, maybe we overdid an egg here or there, or added onions when we weren’t supposed to, we may have a grumpy moment here and there due to our bullshit meter reaching the breaking point. Forgive us, we’re only human after all.
We all make mistakes,, isn’t that what life is about? But we certainly do our best to fix it if we can.
We all have life in the background of our work days, we all have someone we love who is battling for their life, we all have worries and stressors. None of us are perfect.
We work in a high stress environment at times and all of us here at Corrina’s make an honest attempt to make your experience a positive one. When it isn’t we certainly appreciate hearing about it, as well as the opportunity to fix it.
But let’s be honest, it doesn’t give anyone the right to be disrespectful, erroneous or spread untruths.
There are worse things going on in this world that we should be concerned about.
To those of you that choose to swear or disrespect our staff, we here at Corrina’s don’t want to see you, and we are going to stand up for each other, we are drawing a line. If you can’t show some basic respect, then don’t bother coming thru our doors.
We do have the RIGHT TO REFUSE service, and we will continue to do so as we see fit.
Many thanks to our amazing customers 💕over the years, you are all appreciated very much and will continue to be appreciated.
Without all of you wonderful people we would be nothing.
Thank you to all of our amazing staff for giving it your all everyday, and continuously coming back for more, you guys are the best.
For putting a smile on your face, when you feel like crying.
For breaking down and staying strong all in the same hour!
