Roll Up the Scam
Dear Tim Horton's:
I love coffee, and I consider myself somewhat an authority on a good cup of coffee. Your coffee is not good. It is cheap swill that has no body and no finish. It has no pleasing aroma.
Regardless, I would like to comment on your latest commercials involving your roll up the rim.
First of all, this promotion does not unite our nation. Your soulless company is not Canadian anymore and stop implying that you are. All of your profits go south of the border. The small amount that you give to charity becomes more insignificant every year. Our country has real issues that we differ on and don't trivialize our country by claiming that you unite our nation.
Secondly, drinking coffee is not a contact sport. We are not sitting in groups drinking coffee and then engaged in some ridiculous sport of degrading a plastic cup that is bad for the environment. That is ridiculous. Furthermore, winning is random. Don't imply that rolling up the rim is something that requires skill and sportsmanship. That is folly.
Speaking of random wins, at one point you used to tell us that the odds of winning (one of your cheap donuts) was 1 in 9. You are no longer telling us the odds anymore. Hmmmm.
