Value Reconciliation
I have had the privilege of attending a live lecture by Brene Brown. She is simply amazing. She inspires her audience with a call to action to making the world a better place. She oozes compassion.
Jody Wilson-Raybould has resigned from the Trudeau cabinet. It was a few hours after Prime Minister Trudeau was asked about her loyalty to him. He replied that she was still in Cabinet so that speaks for itself. She has now resigned as Minister of Veteran Affairs. In her statement, she referenced her ethics as one of the factors leading to her decision. Political junkies are speculating on the "real" story and I think it will come out in bits and pieces.
In the meantime, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has spent two days campaigning in Burnaby for the Libertal candidate running against the NDP Leader. Jagmeet Singh is funding his campaign on donations given to the New Democratic Party. Apparently, the Prime Minister is using public money to do so. Already, that doesn't seem fair.
It is easy to display character when it is not tested. It is difficult to make a stand on your own values when times are difficult. Bravo to Jody Wilson-Raybould. Our eyebrows are raised.
It has inspired me.
