Podcast Recommendation - Seems Legit

If you are looking for a podcast recommendation, I highly recommend "The Seems Legit" by the dude Sonny D.   Fair warning, though, after you listen to his podcast, you won't be calling him "the dude Sonny D", you will be calling him "the Amazing Dude Sunny D."  See what I did there? 

Sonny is simply one of the greatest guys you will ever meet and his personality shines in his podcast.  You will laugh, you will be thinking, you will be learning, and you will want to go have conversations with people. For those unfamiliar with this concept, it is called interacting.  You will be inspired to learn more and listen more.  You will be soothed by his soothing voice that you won't realize that you are learning and being stimulated.  An amazing podcast that I thoroughly recommend.  Just type in "seems legit podcast" in any browser and you will find it.  Save it to your favorites. 

For some reason, I thought of the podcast this morning when I was driving around doing Sunday morning errands.  On a corner, there was someone dressed up like a red Maple Leaf encouraging those to come it to Liberty Tax Centre to have their income taxes done.  I have a bad head cold so it seems cold and miserable outside to me.  I don't think you could pay me enough to stand outside in red tights giving high fives and thumbs ups to cars that are about to splash me with muddy water.  Also, is this the best way to advertise?  How can this be effective?  How likely are people to be driving around Winnipeg with all of their relevant tax forms just looking for someone to do their income taxes?  It does not seem legit to me, but, what do I know about marketing? 

If that works, then surely putting a pink heart on my face will get people to read my podcast recommendation!!

I felt compelled to attend an information meeting of the Bruce Oake Recovery Centre.  Compelled because it will be, not in my neighbourhood, but in my City Ward.  Compelled after reading Bruce's story and his family's wish to make this recovery centre his legacy.  Compelled because of the opposition to this centre.  I wanted my voice to be a positive one. There's Something from Jenny - Part 2

I am trying to evolve as a blogger.  One of my friends told me that I needed to start adding my pictures to my blog so that people would know who they are communicating with.  So, good, bad, or ugly, I am adding my picture as much as I can.  It makes me feel vulnerable.  Not as vulnerable as I would feel if I was running for Mayor of a major Canadian city. Seriously? Opposition to BORC opening at old Vimy Arena Site

I decided to go for a walk today.  It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon.  My quest was to understand the home owner's opposition to having the closed arena site being converted to a much needed addiction treatment facility.  I took some pictures on my phone and want to explain what I found out.  The first picture was taken while I was standing on the immense green space at the back of the old Vimy Arena.  You can see in the background what is the closest residential development.  It is a town house complex.  In order for someone who was participating in treatment at BORC to interact with someone living in the complex, they would have to walk and then cross a creek, and then get through the trees.  I would think the residents living in that complex would be more worried about the drainage pipe that leads on the creek.  I would be concerned about a wandering child being trapped in there.  The second pic...
