I Get Feedback........

One of my favorite author/commentator/columnist/strategist is Warren Kinsella.  I will never be in his league, but one of the things that I admire is that every now and then, he shares feedback he receives.

Believe it or not, I also have been getting feedback and I really reflect upon this feedback.  I really welcome the feedback and here is some samples of my feedback and my thoughts back.

"You need to put pictures in your blog.  I don't read anything that doesn't have pictures."  This feedback came from a very close friend who told me that a year after I started my blog.  She was right and I now put a picture in every entry.

"You need to put pictures of yourself in your blog.  People need to see who they are engaging with."  Good point from a good friend.  I try to include myself whenever it is appropriate.

"You have a blog?"  My son.

"I love the title of your blog."  The friend who suggested the title of my blog.

"You are violating the terms of your AdSense agreement.  Please fill out this 20 page form apologizing and we will consider giving you another chance."  Adsense.

"You are prejudice against caucasians."  Anonymous troll.  You have seen my picture, right?

"You are obviously an angry bitter woman who don't understand what you are talking about."  Trump supporter.

"Your blog is too aggressive and it reminds me of that Sun Columnist who is now working at the Free Press."  Supportive friend.  Thank you.  That is what I am going for.

"Your blog is poorly written drivel signifying nothing."  Good friend.  Wow. I am being compared to Shakespeare!

"Your blog is difficult to read and obviously not edited."  Everyone.  Yeah, I just type and press publish without reading it over.  Impulse issues.

"You need to write more about Dauphin."  My aunt in Dauphin.  I agree.  Dauphin rocks.

"You need to keep blogging.  You are good at it."  Two people.

"You need to stop blogging.  You are terrible at it."  More than two people.

"One of your facebook friends traveled to Vietnam for vacation.  At that same time, you have four ad engagements in Vietnam.  We think you sent your friend to Vietnam to click on ads so we are suspending your account until you can adequately explain how this will never happen again."  Adsense

"I want to thank you for writing your latest entries.  I was having trouble sleeping and they put me right to sleep."  My daughter.

"I don't care what you say.  I still like Tim Horton's."  Disgruntled friend.  Hey, in the end, we all make our own choices.

"You have no idea how much Mommy's thnk, Grandma's know touched me."  One my favorite friends.

"You allude to me one more time and I will sue you forever."  Fan of Carly Simon.  Good luck on that one.

"So, I actually read some blog entries.  They were really interesting."  My bestie.

"I wish you would try to be more hopeful and inspiring."  Insightful friend.  Agreed.  I wish there was more in the world that was more hopeful and inspiring.

"I read all your entries, even on things that I have no interest in because it is your blog."  Brilliant friend.  Blushing.

"I forbid you from mentioning me again."  Another fan of Carly Simon.  Good luck on that forbidding thing  Tell me how that works out for you.

"You have to stop talking about all this feminist crap all the time.  No one wants to hear it."  Grumpy old men.  Oh, so you are one of those that think feminism is a niche issue.

"I have know you for years and I never knew you were living with depression and anxiety."  Childhood classmate.  Yeah, I know.  Some people are fake being ill.  I fake being well.

"Why do you have to blog whenever it is time to do laundry or clean the kitchen."  Andrew.  What can I say, it's a skill.

"Thank you for giving true to power.  I love your blog."  My Aunt.  Thanks for giving this unbiased and unsolicited comment.

"We have disabled your account once again.  Fill out this form where you have to guess what you did wrong this time and your detailed plan as to how you are going to correct this."  Adsense.  Deep sigh.
