The World Doesn't Revolve Around Me
I can't tell you how hard of a life lesson that was for me to learn. Unfortunately for me, I hit the jackpot when it came to choosing my parents. They raised me to be a confident positive woman who believed that I was the Game and the rest of the world were merely players. It was a hard fall to find out that the world still kept on moving even whilst I was sleeping. I have learned that lesson more than once and it is always just a little difficult. But, it is an important life lesson and keeps you humble.
At my house, my sweetie was up at 5 am cussing at the tv. Apparently, Australia was playing soccer in something called the FIFA World Cup. When you have no interest in this whatsoever, your options are limited. I chose to read the newspaper.
There was the article. Trump was claiming personal success for North America being awarded the site of the FIFA World Cup for 2026. Honestly. This malignant narcissist cares less about soccer than I do and believe me that is not at all.
Does he honestly expect that we would think he cares about something that would happen in a future where there is no possibility of him being President. Does he realize that soccer is something that America is not great at. Does he realize that soccer is played by people of all colours and from all countries. Does he realize that this means welcoming athletes to his country that are from countries that he wants to ban from America?
Really. Why does he feel he needs to take credit for everything? Why is he so insecure? Why can't he realize that the world actually will continue to revolve without him and actually did for centuries prior.
One of the first things you learn when you go out in the professional world is that poor leaders take credit for work done by their subordinates because they are scared someone else will get praise. They are threatened by others success. The best leaders are those who let their subordinates shine knowing that it actually reflects positively on them.
Please, President Trump, we know you use enough fake tan spray in an effort to make us believe you are the sun. But, despite all of your neon orangeness, please.........if you truly want to make America great, let someone else shine. As much as you want it to, the world does not revolve around you.
