Tim Horton's Sales Slump in First Quarter of 2019

It has been a while since The Evil Empire (aka Tim Horton's) has been in the news.  Last time they were in the news, they were planning to add something ridiculous like 3000 new locations in China.  This was the new CEO's idea of energizing the company.  Despite being an American company, they are leveraging "Canada" overseas.

Regardless, first quarter profits are down.  I hope they get used to it.  They are going to continue to go down.  The CEO blamed the downturn on cold weather and a poor Roll Up The Rim campaign.  I agree the Roll up the Rim Campaign is garbage and now it is over.  They will come up with some other copycat idea.  They are already copying McDonald's loyalty cards.

But, the cold weather.  Sheesh.  What a joke.  The cold weather has nothing to do with people not going to Tim's.  The real reason is their product is lousy.  If I am going to spend money on coffee, I actually want coffee and not luke warm dish water.  Also, your company continues to engage in predatory business practices and you treat your employees poorly.

Watch for further declines.
