There may be a couple of more, but the above links explain why I don't patronize Tim Horton's.  Also, I can have fresh made coffee at home, with my french vanilla flavoured cream, anytime I want and without waiting in a drive-thru line for 20 minutes.  My coffee at home is significantly cheaper as well.  Although, I must admit, the lines in the drive-thru are getting less and less all the time.  More people are catching on about the company and not patronizing it.

Their bottom line is taking a serious hit and they are doing all that they can think of to bring it back up.  Today is the last day of their "Smile" campaign.  They advertised this as it has been happening every year.  It hasn't.  This is brand new.  Apparently, if you bought a smile cookie in the last week, 100% of the proceeds were going to a local charity.

The Tim Horton's in Dauphin, Manitoba announced its proceeds were going to the Whitmore School Playground Fund.

Since I don't patronize the establishment, I have no right to ask.  If you patronize Tim's, please ask for proof that 100% of the proceeds of smile cookies is going to a local charity.  They should not have any difficulty showing you the accounting.  They said they were going to do this in a national campaign.  They have opened the door to our questioning.
